Bone Grafting

The goal of bone grafting is to maintain and preserve the bone of your jaw during and after extractions. This bone is critical to maintain and hold future implants. Bone grafting can also provide support for dentures when teeth are lost. Often, we fill extraction sockets with bone grafting material to aid the body in regenerating this important bone rather than remodeling and shrinking the socket. Without bone grafting, there is a greater chance you will be left with too little bone to hold an implant or support a removable prosthesis during function. We are able to use different types of bone, including real human donated bone, bovine bone and synthetic bone, if you feel strongly about the source of the bone particles being used. Bone grafting is one of the best ways to help prevent bone from resorbing and preserve your natural smile line.
